Hot Metal Communications Founder Mark Russell, TEEYA Communications’ strategic business partner, is a respected communications strategist with more than 30 years’ experience.
Mark has worked as a journalist on leading newspapers in New Zealand, England and Hong Kong, and has worked in senior communications roles in Hong Kong and New Zealand. He is able to advise clients on all strategic and media- related issues, including Government and community relations, media training and crisis management.
Mark’s personal relationships with many of New Zealand’s most influential and respected journalists mean he is highly successful at placing client messages with media outlets, ensuring maximum understanding and uptake. He is an executive member of the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association and a member of the New Zealand China Trade Association.
Yang specializes in business accounting and project management administration. She is digital media savvy and has a strong interest in “Big Data”.
Yang supports team leaders to capture project requirements, specify quality of the deliverables and estimate resources and timescales. She is very confident of managing a project budget contributing to a greater likelihood of achieving the desired result. She also maintains efficient communications throughout the whole project to satisfy the differing needs of the project’s stakeholders.
Before Yang joined TEEYA, she held an internship with Grant Thornton based in Shanghai, China. Currently, Yang is undertaking a Master of Professional Accounting degree at Victoria University of Wellington. She earned a bachelor degree in marketing and financial management in China before she moved to New Zealand.
Leontien van Beek
Leontien is a “B2B & B2C” new business development specialist in products and services sourcing from New Zealand and international markets to Asia.
Leontien has more than 15 years of international experience in New Business Development and has been involved with a wide range of projects: product and market research, product sourcing, portfolio (gap) analysis, market introductions, strategy development and setting up new business ventures. Leontien has also built up an extensive network with large industries in the FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage and services industries.
Leontien graduated from Northeastern University in the United States with a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Finance. Leontien is also a director of LeoMar, which was founded in 2011.
Rex is an online interactive design expert, implementing the latest technology online to deliver effective branding and marketing solutions.
Rex was a senior editor in the post-production team for the Beijing Travel Channel of China Television Media Ltd, where he supervised the delivery of broadcasting and programming. He graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in computer application technology (graphics and animation).
Fanbin is an experienced e-commerce specialist with a solid understanding of digital marketing and sales in China.
Fanbin is an Alibaba certified e-commerce marketer. He assists brands in expanding their online customer base and increasing their online sales. Over the last six years, Fanbin has gained the trust of many well-known brands as a successful e-commerce brand building partner.
He is also a visiting lecturer, providing e-commerce related training to preeminent universities in China. Fanbin is currently leading a team of local brand experts and e-commerce operators in Dalian where is TEEYA’s China base.
